Logically Deleted to In Process

Hi Experts,

 

Need to know how to put back the logically deleted workflows to In process again in bulk.

For single workflow instance by using SWUS_WITH_REFERENCE or by SWUS by filling container values.

 

Please let me know if we can do it in bulk.

WS12300111 is not triggering

Hello all !

 

          We are upgrading from portal 7.0 to 7.4.

 

          Our back end remains ECC 6(EHP 6).

 

          When leave is applied from portal 7.0, the workflow WS12300111 is getting triggered.

 

          However, when leave is applied from portal 7.4, the workflow is not getting triggered and PTREQ_HEADER is populated with correct values except WORKIEM_ID field which gets populated with value 000000000000.

 

           Dialog tasks and workflow header is set to general task. Functional configuration for leave request is correct.

 

            Visualization parameters for both the tasks are maintained as seen below : SWFVISU.JPG

 

          SICF services for leave request are active.

 

          However, workflow is not triggering when leave is applied from portal 7.4. Please suggest.

RECN Save Button Interrupt (Urgent)

Hi Guys.

I am new to workflow and enhancements. Im currently involved in a real-estate project. I have a difficult requirement and I will summarize it as follows.

 

Transaction: RECN

 

 

1) When the user changes any information, contract, conditions, etc.. and he/she hits the save button, the data entered will automatically be saved in a custom table, much like the CDPOS and CDHDR, with fields like, Date, Changer, Field, New_Value, Old_Value and then the data entered will revert-back to its original content as if its reloaded again by running the RECN tcode. Because according to the requirements, must be approved first.

 

 

2) In line with #1, a workflow will trigger, still with the save button event. The workflow will run thru a series/ 4 levels of approvals (supersets) thru user decisions in the workflow.  Once passed with the over-all approval process, the logged changes  from the custom table will be applied to the contract.

 

 

I think I could be able to make the basic workflow process, but for #1 requirement, i really have no idea on how to do so. As well as the last step where in the logged changes will be applied to the contract.

 

 

Any help/guide from you experts is very much appreciated. Thanks.

Extended Withholding tax in VIM

We are EHP 6 and we are implementing Open Tax for our new company code Philippines . 

 

We have activated EXTENDED WITHHOLDING TAX " functionality in SAP and want to use same in Open text .

 

We are using VIM 6 .

 

Can you please help us on this?

 

how to activate extended Withholding tax in VIM 6 for EHP6 .

Extended notification: Custom deliverer not activated (SWNCONFIG, CL_SWN_DELIVERER_BCS)

Hi friends of the Extended Notifications,

 

I have a business scenario, where I need to do something extra during the delivery of a notification by eMail, but my custom deliverer is not being used, as I do expect it.

 

What I've customized (succesfully) so far:

 

- Created a new scenario

- Created separate subscriptions, using standard EMAIL_HTML with "1  one message per notification"

- and filter settings and delivery schedule

 

The configuration works fine: New work items are selected and sent out, using the class CL_SWN_DELIVERER_BCS. If I set a break point in method CL_SWN_DELIVERER_BCS->IF_SWN_DELIVERER~SEND( )  the report SWN_SELSEN stops there and I can see the eMail being sent out through the SAP Office interface.

 

Now, I have created a subtype of the classCL_SWN_DELIVERER_BCS  and redefined the method above. I have not changed anything, but just called the ->super( ) method, and set a break-point there.

 

I have now created a new delivery type YESCALATOR_HTML under SWNCONFIG, section "Delivery type".

 

Copied  EMAIL_HTML  to   YESCALATOR_HTML with all depending entry.

Changed the class name within the office delivery to the subtyped class.

Now I do change the subscription setting (basic data) in the scenario, which is working, from EMAIL_HTML to YESCALATOR_HTML like this:

... i was expecting, that the delivery method send( ) from the custom class is being executed ... but actually it isn't.

 

What happends?

 

Nothing. There's no message created at all, the break-point isn't reached and ... what's even more questionable is: No application log in SLG1 for the extended notifations are created at all. No entries, no short dump. It just says "0 notificaitons sent".

 

Does anyone has used a custom delivery class, already? .... I mean:  successfully used ?????

P.S.: I did search through the SAP Support Portal with CL_SWN_DELIVERER_BCS ... and there were some interesting notes, but nothing about my problem.

Workitem disappeared from BWP

Hello,

 

My client asks to implement the following scenario:

When a vendor invoice is parked, a workflow is triggered with the following options:

1. Accept

2. Decline

3. Return

 

The accept option allows the user to edit the invoice(add some texts), then save it.

 

The workflow has been implemented, but the users encoutered some problems with the accept option.

 

The problem is that when users choose "the accept decision", do not do any action, then go back, the work item disappear and can not be declined nor accepted anymore.

 

I tried to use terminating events on the "accept" level, but still, the workitem disappears( On workflow overview, the accept decision stays in processing until an ending event occurs by saving the invoice through the standard transaction outside the BWP).

Are my terminating events on the wrong level? Are they supposed to be on the desicion level?

Work item status in business workplace

Hi,

 

I have a workitem that has been sent to multiple agents, and one agent did execute it.

 

The problem is that the workitem status is kept to "in process" status in other agents inboxes, unlike the agent who executed the workitem, the status of the work item is correctly set to "terminated".

 

Is there a way to update the status of the workitem after the execution of the task for all agents?

Doubt on instantiation of method

Hi All,

I am supposed to debug a method of wf.On execution i found that import parameters of method are referred to class.
As a result i get following screen shot on execution:

Following screen appears on clicking above highlighted symbols for IO_PURCHASEORDER.

When i clicked on above circled symbols, I am supposed to enter all values from wf technical log as below:

.But the fields from workflow technical log and se24 on execution of method and clicking on Import parameter IO_PURCHASEORDER  are not matching. can any body kindly guide how to debug in these sort of scenarios?

User decision step action is not moving forward ?

Hi All,

 

I have created a Travel request workflow as in Pic -1. When user created travel request, workitem is going to manager inbox for approval. Once manager approved workitem ,Then user needs to get approved email as per wokflow . But instead  of that another email with different text is going to user. But my send mail step is not triggering. When i checked in SWIA/SWI1, even manager approved user decision step is not moving forward as in Pic-2. But user getting email that manager approved.

 

Please suggest what is happening. How user getting email. I deactivated linkage for other workflows for that particular event. Why workitem is still in ready status even after approved.

Working with Secondary Methods & Conditions in a User Decision Task

Hello Everyone,

 

I'm trying to get something accomplished using Secondary Methods and Conditions of a UD Task, but unable to. Hoping to get some insights here.

 

I have a WF designed which gets triggered from a BADI using the SAP_WAPI* FM. Once the Work Item appears in the Workflow Inbox of the recipient he takes an Action (Task is Complete) which will complete the workflow. But before the User acts on the work item he has to make a table update in the GRC system and then only complete the Work Item in his Inbox. I have a custom BAPI which checks whether the table has been updated or not. This BAPI is called from my Custom BO Method.

 

The problem Im facing is that as soon as the user approves the work item (irrespective of whether he completed the task or not), the Work Item disappears from his Inbox. After the UD step I have an activity step which checks whether the table is updated or not. If the table is really updated, then the Workflow gets completed, else it sends a Reminder email to complete the task.

 

I would ideally want to call the BAPI when the UD is done and depending on whether the table is updated or not, I want to either complete the workflow or thrown an error/exception or re-trigger the same Work Item again (to let the user know that the task is still incomplete). So Im trying to achieve this using the Secondary Methods. For this Im giving the Custom BOR and Method (which calls the BAPI to check the table) in the "Methods After Work Item Execution" panel. And in the Conditions tab I'm giving a condition to check if the BAPI Return is a S (Success if table updated) or E (Error if table is not updated).

 

But this is not helping, since, as soon as the User takes a decision the work item disappears from his Inbox(and would subsequently get notifications - which could be easily ignored). I would like to know what's the best practice in these cases? If the User action is incorrect, what should happen? Error thrown or WI re-triggered? And what would be the ideal solution? Thanks.

PS: I guess I cannot use Program Exits since I read somewhere that a Program Exit should not make an RFC Call.

Hi Experts,

 

I have a requirement same as below,

 

Present the Approval has two possible options, approve or reject. The purpose of this request is to add a third option 'Request INFO'. Untill this i am clear. This is not a problem we can add it.


The requirement is, After approver clicks on 'request INFO'.


to send a WI to Initiator asking for a type of information and this will return the appropriate information. Adding the corresponding attachments.


How to achieve This. Please Guide me.


In the attached document Red Line is the new adding branch.

Sap travel workflow

Hello,

 

We have implemented travel management. However when the work flow gets trigerred to the manager for workflow- there are certain standard columns provided by the portal

1) Traveller

2)Destination

3)Date from

4)Date to

5)Amount

The client wants that these columns have to be filled, For example if the travel is for 1000 Rs then in the amount 1000RS should be reflected in the Amount column.

 

How can this be achieved.

 

Or these columns have any other functionality - for example they can be filtered on the basis of the workflow received

How to link an event to change materail(call transction MM02 on click of BUS1001006 like as it is doing for MM03)

hi Experts,

 

I have a requirement to send material object as an attachment to the various levels.

The agent will click on the link(which is of type BUS1001006 or its subtype) to open the material in change mode and do the changes to the respective view and then approves.

I have used BUS1001006 as an attachment and by default material ids opening in Display mode.

 

Please suggest me with the steps to open the material in edit mode(MM02).

I have seen a blog to overwrite(redefine in the subtype) the method DISPLAY of BUS1001006, but there is an impact of the existing workflows which are used to display.

MIGO approval workflow line item wise

Dear Gurus,

 

Hope you all are fine. I am new to workflow and i need to develop a workflow which should be triggered when we save any transaction in code MIGO. After saving it, all line items that we created in MIGO should go to a person who can approve or reject MIGO line items. Can any  body tell how can i create this workflow? Please tell in detail because i am not that experienced in workflow.

Logic to Update Custom Table in Process Control Workflow

Hello Gurus,

 

I kindly request for urgent hints to resolve this challenge.

 

The clients wants me to implement a logic in a Process control workflow, whereby after each approval, a custom table created for reporting purpose, will be updated with information from the workflow step, i.e workitem number, name of approver etc.

 

I am new to Process Control workflow but I have studied it very well and I have good picture of how it works, but I am however stuck on WHERE to implement the logic for this request.  Will I have to implement the logic in an expression that calls a FM ? If yes, can someone please guide me on how? remember that the custom table will be updated after  each approval.

 

We are currently running on SRM 7.0 and have used standard Workflow templates for the process. Do forgive me if I have posted this in the wrong section.

This is follow up  to my thread - Re: Workflow Event delayed start . I couldn't able to find anything on why there is a delay in workflow to start. Can anyone please suggest where I could find more information to see why there is a delay?

Hi Experts,

 

I have experience in ECC workflows in MM module.

 

I would like to know additional factors which I need to know before starting SRM workflows  like BRF+,UWL etc..

Is it mandatory in SRM to use BRF+?

Is there a guide to build a simple SRM workflow for shopping cart/Bidding/invoice etc?

Workflow:User XXX has no authorization to start workflow

Hello All,

 

I am using FM -  SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW to start a workflow.But when I debug I got this error "User XXX has no authorization to start workflow"

 

So I went and checked the below blog for solution by changing the attributes.

SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW: ErrorUser has no autho... | SCN

 

I changed to General task.but still I am getting same error while debugging.Is there anything I had to change further or I have to select a different option from the dropdown or I should get in touch with the Basis Team.Please advise.
