Issue in Leave Request Workflow in ESS

Hello Experts,

 

I am trying to raise Annual Leave from ESS portal. All the customizing settings are good in PTARQ. The workflow template used for this is 21500001.

Also, Requests have to be approved is also checked for this Rule Group and Absence Type entry in PTARQ. Infact no changes were made in the Standard Configuration of PTARQ

 

But the problem is when a Leave Request is raised the workflow completes immediately and doesn't go to any approver. Infact, when I check the graphical view of the workflow log, it shows the path taken as 'Approval Not Required' for the condition of the 'Processing of Request'.

 

Even in debug all customizing settings are picked up properly and in the class CL_PT_REQ_WF_ATTRIBS attribute APPROVAL is also set to X.

 

Tried to debug in all ways but couldn't find any issue. Am I missing something. Please help

I am a litlte bit lost with WF-Batch used. Could you please help me to resolve these two questions below:

 

Why are we seeing WF-BATCH as the approver of POs and PRs instead of actual users?

Where might the actual approver names be stored?

BUS0036 : Edit document during approval process

Hello,

I have to trigger an approval workflow while user create document using GM_CREATE_BUDGET.

BO : BUS0066

EVENT Triggered : PREPOSTED

 

I am trying to copy and enhance standard workflow template : .WS12300099.

 

Once the document is posted and someone tries to change it using... it shows the message that document is under workflow and opens documents in display mode.

 

Now i have two issues :

  1. If approver rejects it then creator is provided with an option to change document. I can handle through an activity and transaction GM_MODIFY_BUDGET. But when i use this as workflow is not completed yet, it doesn't allow me to change it.
  2. How to change the state of document that the workflow is completed.

Mail content alignment in SEND_MAIL task in SAP Business Workflow

Hello All,

 

We have to send outlook email from a custom workflow, with the below mentioned aligned content.

However in SOST the email contents are not aligned.

Offline Approval in SAP Workflow

Hi Experts,

 

I want to implement Inbound Mail processing scenario, i followed below steps.

 

1) formed dummy E-Mail with subdomain value

2) created user in system with SAP_ALL,SAP_NEW,S.*CON profiles

3)created Exit for Inbound processing and assigned in SO50 t-code

 

Since Mail was not created in Messaging server, placed endless loop in PROCESS_INBOUND method of inbound class, after sending mail from my official ID to dummy E-Mail, endless loop is not triggering.

Email account for WF-BATCH User, monitoring Email sent (Workitems)

Good morning guys.

 

In previous versions for SAP, I used to set one Email account (WF@domain.com) for the user WF-BATCH to be able to monitoring all the Workitems (Workflow tasks) sent to internet, because in that Email account I could see if any Workitem was sent and if It was opened, etc,….It was a very nice audit log to be sure that users get the Workflows sent as an Email by SAP system.

 

Now (SAP 7.31), I add an Email account (WF@domain.com) for this user (WF-BATCH) but nothing is registered on it,…. All the Workitems are bringing correctly to each user on SAP Inbox and Outlook, but not audit log on the Workflow account

 

Is this functionality still works? And in this case, What should I do wrong?, if not, what is the meaning for the field Email Address for WF-BATCH apart form having a sender for the Email sent?

i have created Workflow for BOM Approval, created my own business object and delegated it to BUS1080, workflow triggered but i m not getting material plant and bom usage properly, i am getting material as object key from cdhdr table like M0000000220160615R, and plant as alt BOM no,

is there any extra code requird to get proper material from this bus object.

CL_BCS - Email body text getting truncated in Outlook

Hello,

 

I have a Step in workflow to send an Email containing a Hyperlink. I created a method to send the email using CL_BCS class.

 

Everything looks good in SOST (all the attachments, hyperlink work fine) but when the Email goes out to Outlook, the Email body gets truncated.

I can only see the 1st line: This Sales order needs the following before Credit Decision can be made:

Rest of the body is blank. I can see the attachments though.

 

Please share if you have any ideas. Thanks

hi all,

i got some problem to open hidden data by screen modification in sap backend. my client was update their data family member (Sbty 0001) in ESS with approval admin. But the subtype has setting not show buttom for dependent for tax purposes. it make the data family can't be change. could u help me please how to fix it?

Workflow Deadline Monitoring and Escalation

Hi,

 

Here is my scenario.

1. I have a workflow that goes to Person A. If after 24 hours of time Person A has not completed the workflow step then I want Person A to receive a Deadline Reminder Notification. 5 hours after that, if Person A still has not completed the workflow step I want the workflow item to go to Person B?


2.  when it goes to person B do we have option to keep work item for both person A and B or it will be only B?.


Also my workflow is having step - BLOCK Step which sends work item to multiple users at the same time for some scenario's and required approvals from all users.

 

Can someone please let me know how I can implement this.

question on workflow BO selection

Hi,

 

I want a new workflow to be configured so that when a PM order is created in IW31 an email should be sent to team saying as a new order was created.

 

For achieving this , I had  activated trace using SWELS and created  a new order in IW31 the Business objects that are triggered are BUS2007, BUS2088, BUS2038  and BUS2080.

 

 

Could you please let me know the business object to be used which satisfies my requirement.  and also the process to be followed for finding out the workflow template. I know that we need to copy some standard wrokflow template into custom template and implement our email functionality in that custom

 

 

Please suggest.

question on BRF+ and workflow

Hi,

 

I am working on creation of new workflow for IW31 transaction, I need to send a email when a PM order is created and I want to use BRF+  for sending email , I know how to achieve  email functionality from BRF+. The problem is how can I send the maintenance order number and order type from the workflow template ( which is copied from  WS20000021   to custom )  and task TS20000004  ( copied to custom ).  What exacttly do we need to do in the binding for passing these values.

Sending an email in a Workflow

Dear all,

 

I created a copy of standard Workflow WS20000075 for the PO release strategy. I added a new step to send an external email to the Workflow requester (Agent). The email is sent correctly and the Workflow works fine.

 

For now, I entered an initial value in the recipient field that contains the email address. I want to be able to use the requester email address instead of the initial value I populated in the container field.

 

I do not know how to perform this simple task. Do I need to create a new step (task) prior to the send email step? Is there a standard Class or BOR to retrieve the user's email address?

 

I tried to activate the "Send to home addresses" functionality in SO16 but no email is generated in SOST.

 

I've looked in other discussions but I am not sure of what I need to do since there seems to exist various solutions to my issue.

 

Can you provide a detailed step by step of what I need to do?

Workflow process for Dynamic Level of Approvers

Hi All,

 

I have a requirement as below.

  1. In a custom transaction and screen it will be decided how many levels of approvals and sequence (Dynamic not same for all the documents) will be required for that document.  And workflow should process approvals based on the sequence number.
  2. Users will come to the same custom screen and they will click on custom buttons(approve/reject) (not from the SAP inbox)  from the screen specified for each user/sequence.

 

I have created Workflow with below process.

  1. Step will decide who will be the user
  2. Created a block step ( to process multiple users in the same sequence number).
  3. Loop step to process all the users in the same workflow (but could not able to make this step properly).  Not sure how I can keep workflow in a wait position after user decision work item sent and till the person will take action (approve/reject) on the work item.

 

Question: Can we have same workflow to process all the users without completing the workflow for each user and completing the workflow only when all of the users approved on the document?

  Or should we need to start and close workflow for each user( independent workflow for each user)?


Please let me know your thoughts on this.

I am also attaching the workflow pic for reference.

Workflow user decision is coming into users mail (Sbwp)

Hi,

I need some clarifications, need your suggestions.I was created one workflow It is having user decision , User decision is need to get two people.

Once they approve 3 times, then Count will increment 3 then complete the Task.

 

Please have a look on below attached images.

To whom Users,  i was added in   PFAC.

 

Like below  Under Responsibilities i was added like.

Zrule1.

user1.

user2.

 

I was executed the workflow. I am also one of the decision maker,I was approved the decision, then i was checked the Workflow log.

then If i press the Agents button it is showing, Two users list.

 

But User2 if i open in his login then see the Sbwp ,

 

1)Not able to see any Workflow messages. May i know why.

 

2)Second question is If user1 is press continuously 3 times, workflow is completed, But i would like User1 then User2 then User3.

How it is possible.

Purchase Order blocked during approval of final release code

Hi All,

 

  I have a custom workflow for Purchase Order approval process.

 

The issue is sometimes , while approving PO through work item - > user clicks on APPROVE button from business workplace ,

Workflow gets completed but PO is in blocked status.

 

The reason behind this , sometimes the PO# will be blocked by some other user OR by some background job,

 

We are calling BAPI to release the PO in custom method.

 

Is there any way to control this in workflow?

 

Please help.

Workflow offline Approval / Inbound mail setting

Hi Guys,

 

We are trying to do Offline PR/PO approval through outlook for work-item (Don't want use SAP shortcut attachment). We have configured SCOT settings. As per threads for Inbound Processing we have to create new email id something like (name1.name2@XXX-YYY.company.com).

 

Please clarify what exactly XXX and YYY, Some places it seems like SAP system ID, but not sure.

 

I have checked forums, but not getting exactly the XXX and YYY value.

 

Also want to know without this sub-domain are we able to move forward with any other solution?
