Copied Workflow not Working

Hello Friends,

                    i am new to workflow,I have copied one existing workflow template via PFTC and used in Custom program.

When i executing new (copied) workflow ,it is not working but older one is working. i don't know what the issue.Kindly any one help me out.

 

When i cross checking difference between two workflow, i found that one difference in version overview. I am not sure whether it could be a reason.

 

if it is the reason, kindly help me to enable that option in new workflow.

Reg : Program Exit ( In decision Step Cancel button is not working )

Hi,

 

I got an requirement in the Program Exit I wrote the Logic when the user clicks on APPROVE button its getting the Value as '0001' and for the same thing for the REJECT its getting the Value as '0002'.

 

But when I click on CANCEL AND KEEP WORKITEM ON INBOX am not able to get the value its getting as '0001'.

 

Kindly find the below code. And kindly suggest.

Maximum file size of work attachment

Hi Experts,

 

Many time in user attachments showing some error if user attach a heavy file. Please could you let me know what should be the maximum file size in any workflow attachment. What is correct reply to user.

User decision (approve/reject) in inbox of approver and manager- end other when one takes an action

Hi Experts,

 

i have developed a custom workflow for FV60 invoice . everything is working fine except one issue. i am giving little brief about whats my workflow does and what problem i am facing below,

 

1) I am sending user decision to Approver , so he has to execute work item, select approve /reject and put reason for either approval or rejection.

2)  if he fails to take action in 3 days i had to send it to his manager as part of escalation. this one i have achieved with requested end functionality.

 

now my problem is lets say approver didn't take any action for 3 days now , i am sending it to manager for approval. (this is again a user decision) wherein manager will perform same action (approve/reject and give reason with comments).

 

if there is user decision pending at both users inbox and if one of them takes an action , and if manager again executes user decision from his inbox it should not be executed(obsolete) .now its getting executed from both inbox even one had already taken an action.

Create sub folder in SAP workplace

Dear Gurus

We have a typical requirement in SAP workplace

 

1. We want to create a new sub folder in the workplace

 

2.The user will sent the messages to one another via SAP and with fixed subject as say "XYZ".

 

3. We want that as soon as system reads this subject it should redirect the message to that particular folder only.

 

Is this possible.

purchase requisition(Customzing)

Hello User,

 

my problem is the Customizing from the purchase requistion.

I got a Workflow like this:

Multiple catalogue cl_ops_switch_check=>mm_sfws_cat_int

Hi All

 

We have a requiremt to activate multiple catalogue for purchase requisition using OCI.

There is a standard code in function module MMPUROCI_CALL, which checks the activation status through an abap statement :

 

 

IF cl_ops_switch_check=>mm_sfws_cat_int( ) EQ abap_false.

 

I'm not able to get what switch should be enable so that code will return a value instead of blank .

Basis teams needs the business functionality name which im not able to find trace out .

Workitem is executed by previous user

Hi,

 

A task ( where sending mail to fiori for approval ) was approved by requester couple of times in few second duration. But expected is for first time it should be approved by requestor and second time it should be approved by manager. As per workflow log, &ACTAGENT& to execute manager name is there. But second also it got executed by the same requester.

 

I have checked for substitute but there is no substitute maintained for the manager And also work item is not forwarded from Manager to Requestor.

 

Same task is used to send out mail for both requestor and manager. Advance with dialog box is checked, Inbetween requestor approval workitem and manager approval workitem, there is no foreground execution. But as per &ACTAGENT&  value - manager approval workitem is received by manager so advance with dialog also has not created any issue. But I am not able to figure out how Requester has approved both workitems in 3 sec duration.

Best Workflow template for FIPP Amount release

Hi-

 

I am searching through the many workflow template options for Park/Post workflow functionality and am confused which one to use.  My specific requirement is that the approver workflow is only triggered to post a parked document if the document value is over the user's approval limit.  Is one of the templates already configured for this?  Also, does anyone know of a good web resource of a checklist of all requirements to assure workflow works properly?  I found handy checklists for workflow settings but they did not include all the security settings.

Reporting on Re-Triggered Workflows

Dear SAP Community,

 

I'm looking for a way to report on any workflow instances that were re-triggered by a particular user during their lifespan, for a given time period.

 

Is this possible with any standard SAP transactions? I've perused many of the standard workflow transactions (SW*) with no luck thus far.

Not able to find work items in table SWIWIOBJCT

Hello Experts,

 

I am not able to find certain work items in SWIWIOBJCT table. From what I understand, all work items should be logged into this table.

I avoided SWWWIHEAD during the initial design since it did not had all required data that I wanted.

 

Can someone tell me why the entries for work item are not coming in SWIWIOBJCT?

No entries getting created in T5ASRPROCESSES table

Need help on my project for Army.

 

I am facing an error while executing HCM processes and forms. When  trying to test custom process which update PA infotypes , it gives warning ” Work Item Not Found; Workflow Not Started” and “Process Object Not Created”.

Error object CL_HRASR00_PROCESS_ERROR gets instantiated .

 

Ideally object CL_HRASR00_WF_PROCESS_OBJECT should be triggered and then custom workflow should start; however it fails on the first import form step (Standard Task 17900110).

All settings are in place in HRASR_DT(i.e. Workflow assigned to form etc.).  I have also completed “Case Management” settings from SPRO as suggested in some forums. No entries are getting created in T5ASRPROCESSES table.

 

In addition to the Issue mentioned above, I found that there are 3 tables

which should be populated on their own -  T5ASRSCENARIOS, T5ASRPROCESSES and

T5ASRSTEPS whenever a HCM process is submitted.

 

It is failing at the below method inside the Function Module:  HR_ASR_UPD_HANDLER_2_POBJ

CALL METHOD me->update_doc_checkin_via_tab

Active Version issue in the Workflow, moving from Dev system to Testing System

Hi,

 

In the Development System I had done the workflow changes and Activated the Workflow  and moved to Testing System. But in the Testing system it is not coming the Workflow with Active Version.

 

But the changes are there in Testing system but the Workflow is not triggering.

 

Please find the attachment in detail. As it is very critical issue why workflow active version is not coming in Testing system.

 

 

In the attached screen shot left side screen hot is the Development system and right side screen shot is the Testing system where it is prompting for the version.

How to suppress Express document popup notification

Dear Experts,

we have to schedule a custom background job which produces some "controlled" runtime errors: the job is scheduled with a newly-created SAP user named "BATCH_SAP".

The problem is that, whenever we are logged in our SAP system with user BATCH_SAP and run usual transactions, this user is always annoyed by the express notification popup windows which alert for the dump produced by the background job (the message in the popup window is like: Express document "Update was terminated"...). We do not care about the dump itself, but we want to stop the automatic popup windows from appearing to BATCH_SAP user while this user is working on SAP system via SAPGUI.

Is there a way to suppress these kinds of popup messages?

Change interval rerun for a particular task

Is it possible to change the interval of rerun for just one task?


I want to retry to execute a task if there is a lock problem, I want to wait 5 minutes and retry just 3 times.


I'm trying to do it with temporary exceptions following: Design Error Free Workflow Using Temporary Exceptionhttp://scn.sap.com/community/bpm/business-workflow/blog/2013/09/07/design-error-free-workflow-using-temporary-exception


I checked the customization settings in SWU3.  I see that the interval rerun = 20 min and repeat count = 3 tries.

After 24 minutes the retry counter is 2, I don't know how this works, could you give me an explanation

of how this settings works?

Miscellanous settings for background work items not working

I have this settings for a particular task:

This tasks throws a temporary exception... I want to retry to execute the task 3 more times with an interval of 5 minutes...

 

But it doesn't retry after 5 minutes, it does it after 20 minutes...

Unable to open work-items from SBWP/portal worklist

Hi All,

 

I am facing an issue. A particular user is not able to open workitems for a particular workflow ( from SBWP/portal-worklist).

 

He is able to open other work-items. But only for 1 particular type of work-items, he is facing this issue.

 

When the user clicks on the work-items, a new window opens, but the processing sign does no go. In case of SBWP also, when the user clicks on the work-item, the processing sign comes and nothing happens.

 

I don't understand how to resolve this issue. Has anyone faced this issue before ?

Where used list and making a workflow obsolete

I am new to this Workflows space.

 

Can someone let me know how to find dependencies for workflow templates and standard tasks?

And how can we make these obsolete or delete.

I have searched the forum but couldn't find an answer. Please help.

Decision Workitem not Appearing in SAP INBOX

Hi Experts,

 

I have an issue related to Decision Workitem of Workflow.

 

I am receiving mail from workflow, but not getting any Decision workitems.

Even when I test it from SWU3, test workflow is triggering correctly, but not appearing in my inbox.

Then, I created 1 custom workflow, put mail step in it, when I test it I get the same in my inbox.

 

After this, I put user decision task in my workflow, but when I test it, I received only mail in my inbox, not Decision Task.

 

When I check SWI5, I can find the entry over there.

 

Experts, please guide me.
