User decision steps have agents in log and SWI5 but not appearing in SBWP

Hi Workflow experts,

 

Till yesterday all wf's were working fine. but now any user decision is not reaching to inbox(SBWP),  though in workflow log + SWI5 I can see it is in agent's inbox. This is even happening with standard user decision task. I have already checked below things:

 

1) there is no BADI implementation for filtering task visibiity

2) I have already tried SWU_OBUF and refreshed org. environment

3) there is no substitution

4) It is happening for all the user decision step. I created a test wf with standard decision step but for that also it is not reaching to inbox.

5) Authorization team confirmed there is no authorization failure

6) Tasks are general task and agent assignment is green.

workflow starting automatically

we have designed a parked document workflow using event FIPP.Created which will be trigerred when document is parked using FV50 and the approver will be get a workitem with the document number.There have been cases reported where the workflow is started automatically and the approver is getting workitem without document number .The screen shot show execution started automatically and the log is as below .I am not able to find  how this workflow is automatically getting triggered .This is happening in production system ,so what need to be done to stop this automatic execution of workflow.

SAP-Microsoft outlook integration

Hi All,

 

I would like to integrate SAP to Microsoft Out look for sending work item text to outlook express as reminder as well as notifications also(which are generated by Sendmail step in workflow).

 

Kindly get me if there is any document for it.

 

Ours is ECC6.0,EHP 4.0 version.

Sending via Email a workflow step attachment

Hi everyone,

 

I have a Workflow for approval, but for this approval, the user need to add an attachment (just text and no files) explaining the reason for this action. After that, I need to send an Email in which I need to include the text from this attachment.

I have being using different options to go make it but doesn’t work as I want.

 

I got the text using the FM /OSP/GET_WORKITEM_ATTACHMENT to get the text not in the format that I’d like but at list I got the text, but I have some problems about it because when I try to use a field in container to assign the type STRING, to be able to take the complete text, the system doesn’t allow me to use his type. So I have tu use SYST-ULINE to assign the text but it’s limited so the text is not complete.

And even if I use this field, when I I create a Email task and I pass this variable on the text, the text is trunked again.

 

Second option was …. I had to use a SOFM object but is to complex to get the key and don’t know how to send the text because I have to execute a method to get an screen whit the text that I want to send via Email.

 

The method used by the task is SelfItem-SendtaskDescription

 

I’d like to have a simple way and closest to the standard way to send the text written in to a workitem attachment.

LSO Booking Workflow

Hi,

 

I have developed the custom workflow for the Booking Approvals.

 

Here the LSO Correspondence comes to the picture.

 

 

First  :

The thing is when the Participant book the course as admin from the backend and it goes to the waiting list and the mail is getting triggered in SOST and the form gets open this works from the LSO Correspondence.

 

Second:

When the Participant book the waiting list course from the Portal I need to restrict the mail from the correspondence instead I need to trigger from the Workflow.

 

How to differentiate the Booking Waiting list whether its coming from the backend or from the Portal.

 

 

Kindly suggest.

Create sub folder in SAP workplace

Dear Gurus

We have a typical requirement in SAP workplace

 

1. We want to create a new sub folder in the workplace

 

2.The user will sent the messages to one another via SAP and with fixed subject as say "XYZ".

 

3. We want that as soon as system reads this subject it should redirect the message to that particular folder only.

 

Is this possible.

Workitem is executed by previous user

Hi,

 

A task ( where sending mail to fiori for approval ) was approved by requester couple of times in few second duration. But expected is for first time it should be approved by requestor and second time it should be approved by manager. As per workflow log, &ACTAGENT& to execute manager name is there. But second also it got executed by the same requester.

 

I have checked for substitute but there is no substitute maintained for the manager And also work item is not forwarded from Manager to Requestor.

 

Same task is used to send out mail for both requestor and manager. Advance with dialog box is checked, Inbetween requestor approval workitem and manager approval workitem, there is no foreground execution. But as per &ACTAGENT&  value - manager approval workitem is received by manager so advance with dialog also has not created any issue. But I am not able to figure out how Requester has approved both workitems in 3 sec duration.

Approval workflow is not getting triggered for purchase contract

I am facing issue with workflow trigger on creating purchase contract.

I am able to get the workflow when i create contract.

The release strategy is also getting determined.

But no workflow mail for approving.

Emial in SBWP

Dear experts,

 

I am struggling with PR release strategy workflow. Depending on the characteristics, there are 6 different IDs which require to approve a PR.

However, accept 1 ID, no one other is receiving email in SBWP.

 

I have made a task general

2. Also, I have assigned IDs in Release strategy workflow (SPRO)

3. The right ID (person) is getting triggered in Release strategy (ME53n, ME54n) but he is not receiving email in SBWP

Reporting on Re-Triggered Workflows

Dear SAP Community,

 

I'm looking for a way to report on any workflow instances that were re-triggered by a particular user during their lifespan, for a given time period.

 

Is this possible with any standard SAP transactions? I've perused many of the standard workflow transactions (SW*) with no luck thus far.

Unable to open work-items from SBWP/portal worklist

Hi All,

 

I am facing an issue. A particular user is not able to open workitems for a particular workflow ( from SBWP/portal-worklist).

 

He is able to open other work-items. But only for 1 particular type of work-items, he is facing this issue.

 

When the user clicks on the work-items, a new window opens, but the processing sign does no go. In case of SBWP also, when the user clicks on the work-item, the processing sign comes and nothing happens.

 

I don't understand how to resolve this issue. Has anyone faced this issue before ?

How to see which user approved task

Hello all,

A task was triggered to several users. Out of those only one user has approved task.

How ever from workflow log its not clear who approved the task.

Can anybody kindly guide how to findout who was the approver of the task?

Workflow inconsistent behavior in Roles Assignment on Task

Hi,

 

While i am configuring Standard Workflow of Plant Maintenance Notification, i am assigning roles in different notification types.

I have assigned the Users and Workflow Task in PFCG as in below screenshot

Same is done in other roles too.

Now, the workflow is working fine in few conditions while its going in error mode in rest of the conditions. I have checked every setting and they're the same as those in which workflow is working. Dont know why its not being triggered in other conditions can you please help?

Stop and send email if the approver determination failed in the workflow

Hi ,

 

In custom workflow for Billing document based on the some conditions we are getting the approvers userids from the custom table inside the business object method and sending the workitem to approver for approval. Presently if there is no approver then workitem is stopping there without assigning to any one.

 

So Can you please suggest how to do error handling if the approver determination is failed and how to restart approver determination method and resume the workflow to normal mode? Can we set the workflow status to hold / error if the approval determination failed and change back the status to normal once the approval re-determine successfully?

Assign value to one filed of structure in workflow container element

Hi ,

 

I have a structure in my workflow container.

 

I need to assign a constant value say '03' to the one field of that structure.

 

I tried to use container operation. But it allow me to assign the value of whole structure, not a particular field of that structure. Please let me know if this possible?
